(No regrets on that Adele pun. I’m sure it killed.)
Michael Jackson reincarnate, Heloise Letissier, is the mastermind behind the French pop group, Christine and the Queens. I’ve been following her success for the past year and I’m excited to report that her superpowers are only growing stronger with each performance. Heloise is a true entertainer, supporting her pitch perfect vocals with an always interesting and artistically choreographed experience (aka. girl got some moves). Her self-titled album was released last year and it is a must listen.
She draws her songs and inspiration from real experiences and while they don’t always translate to English hiccup-free, they still hold the emotion of her original intention tightly. In fact, her moniker, Christine and the Queens, is the result of a drag show that she stumbled upon after moving to Paris at the young age of 18. The lens that she uses to see the world is mysterious, fascinating and beautiful. She has built a space where nothing is concrete, not even gender identity (See: “iT”). What we are seeing is a glimpse into the future and if Heloise is our fearless leader, everything is going to be just fine.
NO. BIG. DEAL. DANCE. MOVES.

NEVER. MADE. A. SUIT. LOOK. BETTER. PLUS. QUEENS.
